Adhesion Strength Distribution Testing Device

Evaluation of adhesion strength distribution between particle-wall and particle-particle.

A particle property evaluation device utilizing the scattering phenomenon caused by airflow can assess the adhesion strength distribution between particles and walls, as well as between particles. By varying the airflow over time on the fine particles deposited on the test piece, the scattering characteristics at that time are evaluated.

[Test Case] Strength Evaluation of Steel Surface Treatment in the Depth Direction

We will introduce a case that visualizes how the hardness distribution varies significantly with each nitriding treatment.

We will introduce a case study that tested three types of nitriding treatments on the same material. As a result, it was found that there are weak areas on the surface, and that strength and thickness vary significantly depending on the treatment. 【Case Overview】 ■Objective - To identify the strength (hardness) distribution in the depth direction from the surface of shallow surface-treated materials. ■Evaluation - Gas nitriding achieved the minimum erosion rate (maximum hardness) at a depth of 8µm, remained constant up to 12µm, and then gradually increased the erosion rate (hardness decreased) until reaching 20µm, where it stabilized. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Test Case] Strength Distribution of Plastic Lens Coating for Glasses

Detailed explanation of the test results for the strength distribution in the depth direction from the lens surface to the substrate.

We will introduce a case study evaluating commercially available coated eyeglass lenses. By investigating the actual strength distribution inside, results were obtained indicating that "the surface inorganic layer is an anti-reflective (AR) coating, and the intermediate layer can be identified as a hard coat." 【Case Overview】 ■ Purpose - To investigate the actual strength distribution inside the surface multilayer coatings of two types of commercially available eyeglass lenses. ■ Evaluation - Upon magnifying the surface inorganic layer, it is evident that it is a multilayer film. - From the erosion rate distribution, it can be determined that the surface design (layer composition according to purpose) differs, among other findings. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
